1 The Short Version
Your financial records stay on your device. There is no Spendezy account, no Spendezy server storing your transactions, and no advertising or analytics network receiving your activity. The only place your data goes beyond your device is your own iCloud account, and only if you turn iCloud Sync on.
2 Information You Enter
You create the data in Spendezy. Depending on which features you use, that can include:
• Accounts you set up, their types, balances, credit limits and loan details • Transactions, including amounts, dates, notes, categories, tags, merchants and income sources • Budgets, savings goals, and recurring bills or subscriptions • A display name, an email address and a profile photo, if you choose to add them • Your preferences, such as currency and reminder schedules
All of this is stored on your device by the App. We never receive a copy of it.
3 Where Your Data Is Stored
Spendezy stores your records in a database on your device, protected by iOS file encryption and your device passcode. Your app PIN is stored in the iOS Keychain. Your display name, profile photo and similar preferences are stored on the device as well.
We do not operate servers that receive, store or process your financial records.
4 iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is off unless you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, Spendezy uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your records to your own private iCloud database, so they are available on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
This is your iCloud storage, governed by Apple's privacy policy and iCloud terms. We have no access to it and cannot read, recover or restore its contents. Turning iCloud Sync off stops future syncing; removing the data already in iCloud is done through your device's iCloud settings.
5 No Bank Connections
Spendezy does not link to your bank, card issuer or any account aggregation service. We never ask for and never receive your online banking credentials, card numbers or account numbers. Every balance and transaction in the App is one you entered yourself.
6 No Analytics, Tracking or Advertising
Spendezy does not include third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software. We do not build a profile of you, do not track you across apps or websites, and do not sell or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics such as download counts and crash reports, depending on the settings you have chosen in iOS. That information comes from Apple, is not linked to your identity, and never contains your financial records.
7 Notifications
Bill, payment and budget reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Their content is composed on the device and is not sent through our servers.
If you enable Hide Notification Previews in Privacy settings, amounts are omitted from notification banners so they are not visible on your lock screen.
8 Your Privacy Controls
Settings › Privacy gives you direct control over how your data is protected on your device:
• App Lock requires Face ID, Touch ID or your PIN before Spendezy opens • Lock on Exit re-locks the App every time you leave it • Hide Balances masks every monetary amount across the App • Hide Notification Previews keeps amounts out of notification banners • Screenshot Protection blurs the App in the iOS task switcher
9 Accessing, Exporting and Deleting Your Data
Because your data is on your device, you already have direct access to all of it:
• Access: everything is visible in the App • Export: Settings › Export produces a CSV or Excel copy you can keep or move elsewhere • Correct: edit or delete any record at any time • Delete: Settings › Privacy › Delete All Data erases your financial records; deleting the App removes its data from that device
If iCloud Sync was on, also remove Spendezy data from your iCloud account through your device's iCloud settings. We cannot perform these actions for you, because we hold no copy of your data.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, delete or port your personal information. The controls above let you exercise those rights yourself and immediately. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
10 Data Retention
Your data stays on your device until you delete it or delete the App. Deleting a transaction removes it immediately and permanently — the App keeps no copy and there is no recovery period. Because we hold no copy of your records, we have no separate retention period.
11 Children's Privacy
Spendezy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the App collects no information to our servers, any data entered by a child remains solely on that device and can be removed by deleting the App.
12 Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and include the revised policy in an App update. Material changes to how your data is handled will be highlighted in the App.
